Sanja obtained her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience at King’s College London (UK). She worked as a post-doctoral researcher and lecturer at University of Bordeaux (France), University of Padova (Italy) and St Andrews University (Scotland). Her research focuses on white matter connections in healthy development and neurodevelopmental disorders. Before joining Nestle Research in 2020, Sanja worked for UNICEF as their Early Childhood Development Officer, as well as WHO Regional Office for Europe in the area of child and adolescent health. She has contributed to the new European strategy on child and adolescent health (2020-2030) and led the development of several international reports under the flagship of WHO.
